Andrea R. Lirio
ABOUT ME
I help creative leaders turn strong vision into work that lands. I partner with founders, filmmakers, and executives who care deeply about their ideas, but don’t always want to be the ones translating them into structure, timelines, and execution. Supporting that translation is where I do my best work.
I operate at the intersection of creative vision and execution, working closely with filmmakers, directors, and leaders across media, technology, and mission-driven organizations to protect the integrity of the work as it scales. I connect dots across teams, anticipate friction, and do the often-invisible work that allows strong ideas to reach the world with care.
I currently support publicity and brand initiatives at Kuku Studios for Netflix’s animated feature In Your Dreams, working directly with creative leadership to ensure the film’s depth, beauty, and intent are reflected externally. Previously, I supported filmmaker relations and global publicity campaigns at Pixar, collaborating with creative and executive teams across animation and film. I’ve also worked alongside senior executives in startup and nonprofit environments during periods of growth, transition, and increased public visibility.
Across roles, I’ve served as an extension of leadership, handling details with care so leaders can stay focused on creative and strategic priorities. My work often includes clarifying priorities, pressure-testing ideas, strengthening creative representation, aligning stakeholders, and keeping projects moving without sacrificing quality.
What draws me to this work is a deep respect for the creative process. I know what it feels like to stay with an idea late into the night because it matters, and I care about building environments where creators and leaders feel supported and trusted to do their best work. I believe strong storytelling, done well and represented honestly, has the power to shape culture and endure beyond any single release.
Based in Brooklyn with my husband, I travel often between New York and Hawai‘i to be with family. I partner with story-driven leaders in film, animation, media, and mission-led organizations who value judgment, trust, and hands-on execution.
I’m a graduate of the University of California Berkeley, where I graduated cum laude and received Superior Distinction as a Citation Winner for my honors thesis, Netflix and a Global Public Sphere, examining the role of streaming platforms in shaping public dialogue around the climate crisis.
